Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has told the Gunners to let him leave on a free so that he can join Real Betis, according to Estadio Deportivo.
However, according to the report, Arsenal have told Bellerin that they will not listen to that request and have turned it down.
The Gunners have reportedly told the defender that they will not terminate his contract.
AS Roma, Juventus, Inter Milan and Juventus all are keen on signing the 27-year-old Spaniard, and so are Betis, according to the report.
Bellerin spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Betis from Arsenal.
In our view, Arsenal should wait over the future of Hector Bellerin and try to sell him in the summer transfer window.
Now, of course, if the Gunners decide to terminate the right-back’s contract, then they could save money on his wages for one year.
However, Arsenal could still get a decent transfer fee for a 27-year-old whose best years are still ahead of him.
So, in our opinion, Arsenal are right to deny Bellerin’s request to leave on a free from a business perspective.
