Drake first took social media to show off his massive Kobe collection in his sneaker closet. A huge Kobe fan, Drake has multiple versions of Kobe 8s like Python, Venice Beach, and WTKs. One of his favorite pairs is the infamous Kobe 5 Preludes. The sneaker comes in multicolor, with a golden Nike swoosh to represent Kobe winning the championship ring while wearing Kobe 5. As mentioned by ET Canada, the cost of the Kobe 5 Preludes is worth $1,600 that features a purple speckling and glow-in-the-dark outsole.
7: Nike Kobe 4 Proto Undefeated Los Angeles Lakers
Nike and Undefeated collaborated to create the limited colorway Kobe 4 Protro LA Lakers sneakers to pay homage to Kobe Bryant. The sneakers feature the iconic purple and yellow colors of Kobe’s basketball team LA Lakers with matching purple laces. The Nike and Undefeated logos are stitched onto the tongue tabs of the sneakers. The sneakers reportedly cost upwards of $700.

Over the last seven years, Drake and Jordan have created some of the most stunning and exclusive sneakers in the market. The white version of the OVO x Air Jordan 12 was first spotted when Drake wore them for a Raptors v Nets match. The sneakers made from white leather feature gold detailing with a delicate owl which is OVO’s logo. The white version was limited, and only select people were able to buy it. The Air Jordan 12 ‘White OVO’ retail price was $225, as stated by Complex.

A certified basketball lover, Drake has unconditional love for Toronto Raptors. For the NBA Finals Game 5, Drake wore Air Jordan 4 ‘Raptors’ in black with red and purple accents that were the Raptor’s old colors. The sneakers were released in 2018 with a retail price of $200 and later as a limited-edition version after Toronto Raptors won their first NBA Championship in 2019.

Drake’s curated collection features not only a new and customized sneaker collection and vintage shoes from the vault. During an NBA finals game, Drake wore 2003 Supreme x Nike SB Blazer sneakers that cost more than $5,000. The upper leather has red and green Gucci-inspired accents on the quilted black leather, as noted by Klekt. The sneakers are more than 17-years old and a rare item from his collection.
3: OVO X Air Jordan 11 ‘Snakeskin’
A lot of OVO and Air Jordan collaborations made it to retail for sneakerheads; however, a lot of sneakers were exclusive. Drake owns one of the most exclusive pairs of sneakers is the OVO x Air Jordan 11 ‘Snakeskin’. Drake first showed off his rare sneakers at a Raptors game in 2017 in the black and white colorway with grey snakeskin leather stitched on the bottom half of the sneakers. According to House of Heat, these exclusive sneakers cost upwards of $12,000.

Drake had the best sneaker moment on the basketball court during the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend, wearing customized Air Jordan 8 Kentucky Madness sneakers in white. Drake was inspired by Kentucky’s basketball coach John Calipari and made only two Kentucky-inspired Air Jordans for himself and the coach. The white leather has blue features, and with only two in the market, they are priced around $19,000.

The rarest of the rare Air Jordan 4s were made with a collaboration between Eminem and Carhatt. Legendary rapper Eminem designed these sneakers to raise money for his charity and made only ten pairs available for retail purchase. The premium Air Jordan 4 sneakers feature a black Carhartt upper leather, silver accents, and Eminem’s branding featured on the heel. As an exclusive pair, the sneakers cost a whopping $30,000.
With October 2021 on the horizon, Drake has teased a new collaboration of Drake x Nike Air Force 1 to commemorate his latest album, Certified Lover Boy. As a sneakerhead at heart, it will be no surprise to see Drake wear some of his best sneakers in future basketball games to catch everyone’s attention.
