Following the high-profile trial, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp‘s paths have taken completely opposite directions.
While she is stubbornly pursuing an appeal, he has been completely matter-of-fact, with plans for an upcoming film and an album to be released alongside his friend Jeff Beck.
As if that wasn’t enough, Depp has made several donations to charities and hospitals around the world amounting to approximately 800,000 dollars from the proceeds of the sale of NFT’s that he posted online during the defamation trial.
Depp‘s social media accounts will announce the specific amounts and the organisations that will receive the money.
Depp to donate to institutions that Heard failed to comply with
Several of the institutions that the Pirates of the Caribbean star will support are the same ones that Heard promised to give 7m dollars to after the trial.
Among the institutions is a children’s hospital in Los Angeles.
The money for the donations was revealed during the trial because Heard did not provide the money as promised following the affair between herself and Elon Musk, who had pledged to pay the sum.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is one of several organisations Heard had promised to help after winning her divorce trial with Depp in 2016.
Heard must raise 10m dollars to pay Depp damages
Heard must now face more than 10m dollars in damages that she owes Depp after the trial, and her representatives have said she is considering several ways to raise the money, including the creation of a new book in which she will reveal everything that happened in the trial and their relationship.
