Johnny Depp’s Edward Scissorhands prop sells for twice its value at over 80,000 dollars

Following his victory against ex-wife Amber Heard in their high-profile defamation lawsuit, Johnny Depp‘s stock seems to have risen.

Propstore, an auction house that specialises in movie props recently sold the hand inserts he wore on the 1990 hit movie Edward Scissorhands for a whopping 81,250 dollars, which was almost twice its projected price.

Propstore announced in May this year that it would put the prop up for action when Depp and Heard were locked in their legal battle.

The projected sale was supposed to be somewhere between 30,000-50,000 dollars, but given Depp‘s victory, they fetched close to double that amount.

The next item from one of Depp‘s movies to go on auction could be the motorcycle he rode on the film Cry Baby. The value of the motorcycle is currently estimated at 250,000 dollars but, given what just transpired, the actual winning could far exceed that expectation.

Some other famous movie items that were auctioned are Thor’s hammer (162,500 dollars) and Tom Hanks‘ prop, Wilson, from Castaway which went for an astounding 187,500 dollars.
