Arsenal have now made an offer for Nahuel Molina, with Marca reporting that the Gunners are amongst the sides to have made an important bid for the right wing-back.
The Gunners are seemingly looking to get their business done early in this window. Marquinhos looks set to sign. And surprise reports from Spain have claimed that Alvaro Morata is close to joining the Gunners, too.
Reports earlier this week claimed that Arsenal were in the running to sign Molina. He has enjoyed a superb campaign with Udinese.
The Argentina international has predominantly played on the right in front of the back three. And he has gone on to score seven goals in Serie A this past season. Only two teammates have found the back of the net more often.
Meanwhile, he has also contributed five assists in the top-flight.
Unsurprisingly, he is attracting attention. In fact, offers have already been made. Marca reports that Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Arsenal have all made important bids for the 24-year-old.
Arsenal bid for Nahuel Molina
Molina has proved to be an unbelievable signing considering Udinese secured his signature on a free transfer. He has had 20 goal involvements in 68 games in all competitions.
To put that in context, Emile Smith Rowe had 27 goals involvements in 82 for Arsenal. And obviously, he has played a lot further forward.
Arsenal have made a brilliant signing in Takehiro Tomiyasu. But he has had problems with injury this season. And Cedric Soares does have his limitations in that role.
So signing Molina would be a really exciting move. It would also free up Mikel Arteta to potentially deploy Tomiyasu in a more central role.
But clearly, there is a lot of interest in Molina. He has several offers to consider already.
