Report: Arsenal hierarchy really like £17m Brazilian player

Raphinha is one of the best wingers in the Premier League, and there is no surprise that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign the Leeds United star.

The Athletic reported earlier this week that both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on securing the services of the 25-year-old winger in the summer transfer window.

Raphinha scored 11 goals and gave three assists in 34 Premier League starts for Leeds last season.

The Leeds no. 10 scored six goals and provided nine assists in 26 Premier League starts in 2020-21.

The Mirror are now reporting that Raphinha ‘is highly thought of by the Gunners hierarchy’.

It seems that interest in the Leeds winger comes from the very top of Arsenal.

COULD RAPHINHA LEAVE LEEDS UNITED FOR ARSENAL?

In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Raphinha from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

There is speculation that the Gunners will have to sell Nicolas Pepe to accommodate fellow winger Raphinha.

Now, that may be a stumbling block, but Arsenal have a lot of time to sort something out.

Arsenal will play in the Europa League and will compete for the Premier League top four next season.

That could be very tempting for Raphinha, who cost Leeds £17 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Rennes (The Athletic).
