Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has raved about reported Arsenal and Newcastle United transfer target Tammy Abraham on talkSPORT (6:09pm, June 3, 2022).
Kane is teammates with AS Roma striker Abraham for England, and the Tottenham ace has been impressed by the former Chelsea man, who has been linked with Spurs, Arsenal, Newcastle and Aston Villa.
90min reported last month that Arsenal, Newcastle and Villa all have made made contact with intermediaries to ask about Abraham’s availability.
The Gunners, the Magpies and the Villans all have been told that the former Chelsea striker is happy at Roma working under Jose Mourinho and does not want to leave, according to the report.
The Athletic reported in March that super-agent Jorge Mendes is searching for possible replacement for Kane at Tottenham should the striker move to Manchester United and has held talks over a deal for Abraham.
HARRY KANE ON ARSENAL AND NEWCASTLE TARGET TAMMY ABRAHAM
Kane said about Abraham on talkSPORT (6:09pm, June 3, 2022): “Tammy is a great player.
“He has had a fantastic season at club level, still learning, still obviously got experience in the game.
“Every time he comes here, he works hard, he trains hard, he wants to impress the manager, he wants to score goals.”
In our view, Tammy Abraham would be a good signing for Arsenal or Newcastle United, but if AS Roma do not want to sell him, then it is hard to see him force a move away in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old did well for Roma this past season, scoring important goals and winning the Conference League.
Abraham scored 17 goals and gave four assists in Serie A, and found the back of the net three times in seven Conference League games.
