Malacia set to sign for Man United

Manchester United are closing in on the first signing of Erik ten Hag’s spell as manager with a fee agreed for Tyrell Malacia.

The Feyenoord left-back, 22, broke into the Netherlands national team last year and helped his club reach the Europa Conference League final, which they lost to Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

Reports suggest United will pay an initial £13million for Malacia, with £1.7m in add-ons, should he accept their offer ahead of interest from Lyon.

Feyenoord sporting director Frank Arnesen told “The agreement is there. We are now waiting for Tyrell. If he says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent.”
